Audioengine S8 Review
Design
Audioengine S8 powered speakers offer black and white color picking in their small square-shaped design. The four feet let us know that is intended for floor standing, but you’re not limited about the location whatsoever.
S8 by Audioengine is equipped with an anti-resonant steel frame and a rubber speaker for long-lasting years of use. It also features the bottom-firing and front-ported design to create that accuracy in every tone of the music.
On the rear panel, there are some basic controls such as volume control, crossover control, power indicator, power switch, USB charging port, mini-jack input for private listening, and Stereo RCS and LFE input.

The item has multiple audio input options on the back, making the setup fast and straightforward. When the subwoofer is not in use, it has an auto-off mechanism that turns itself off.
Sound Quality
The sound quality is what Audioengine S8 stands out from the wireless speaker. It produces an amazing low-end experience with a narrow and soft bass sound. If you play around with some adjustment features located on the rear panel, you will find more ear-pleasing capabilities. It is more of a Bass-Reflex enclosure type.
An 8-inch powered down-firing subwoofer transmits perfect PCM stereo because of three receivers. W3 feature eliminates the voice distortion by isolating sounds and not letting the music interruption that happens due to the router, smartphones, and other wirelessly connected devices.
The balance between the high, mid, and low tones is delicate and precise which is something unexpected from such a small-sized subwoofer.
It is one of the best in the subwoofer market, the sound produced here makes it a great sound system.
If you want to take full advantage of the speaker, place it on the floor, so it can freely release the bass notes.
