Even though it may sound big and heavier than the JBL speaker that I mentioned above, Sony XB23 is also a very proud traveler that stands as one of the first choices when moving around. Just by the name, Bluetooth speakers, we get that these two big guys work via Bluetooth. But, you know that Bluetooth isn’t the same in every device, and there’s a difference between these two as well.
JBL Flip 5 uses Bluetooth version 4.2, meanwhile, the Sony XB23 uses Bluetooth version 5.0, which is one of Bluetooth’s upgraded versions.
However, both of these speakers can be connected and paired easily with any device that uses Bluetooth as the main connectivity technology. A specialty that Sony XB23 owns is the NFC pairing which makes Android users more than happy, and not only!
A similar specialty that they own is that both the speakers can be paired with up to 100 devices without any problem. In Sony XB23 you use the Party Connect feature meanwhile in JBL Flip 5, you should use the Party Boost feature.

Since I mentioned that they have the same battery life, these speakers, both JBL Flip 5 and Sony XB23, can stay with you for twelve hours without any interruption.
Why Should You Buy It?
Considering the fact that both of them bring the same battery life and can stay with you at the exact same time (12 hours), there is definitely no winner in this category. We have a win-win situation!
