Technology is way more advanced when Logitech is in question, the doubts of quality are getting lower and lower with each product they release. It hits different when you know what are you doing.

Even though the Logitech Z200 is released ages ago, it keeps the bar higher for other brands to compete. The price point is quite surprising with the offered features and quality.

Today’s topic is about diving deeper into Z200’s specifications Mentioning the advantages and downsides altogether, you are about to find out why is that much unbeatable.

What Do Logitech Z200 Speakers Have to Offer us?

  • The compact and sleek design.
  • Affordable price point.
  • Great sound quality with full bass control.
  • A wide range of connectivity.
  • Compatibility with 2 devices at the same time including smartphone, tablet, PC, and TV (except Xbox and PS).

Design & Comfort

Logitech Z200 offers black and white color options to choose from for any home or studio setting. The angle of the speakers is quite pleasing from the side because it is slightly tilted back. The wired connectivity won’t allow you to use it outside, so you have to use the speakers indoors only.

The sleek rectangle shape has 2 tweeters in the front. One tweeter is actively connected to the amplifier and the other one is the passive radiator.

The 4.8 x 3.5 x 9.4 inches dimensions will surprise you with the sound quality. To be honest it’s an unexpected thing from the given size. If your space is too narrow, these speakers won’t take up too much space on your desk. Every spot is perfect with Logitech Z200 speakers.

The compactness in size is followed by a super lightweight feature too. With only 2.95 lbs., you will have bass control, volume control, and treble control at the same time.

2. Sound Quality

The sound quality is astonishing. You wouldn’t expect such a powerful sound in such small size speakers. The strong and punchy bass production will push you to throw very small house parties.

Adjust the Logitech Z200 according to your desired level of everything starting from volume and bass. There are two 3.5mm headphone jack inputs for private days when you want to enjoy the music or movie in peace.

The rich stereo creates super clear sound effects with a deep bass concentration. The 2 2.5 inches drivers in the front, emits sounds in large amount at a maximum of 10 watts.

Unfortunately, there isn’t any subwoofer, so the low-pitched audio frequencies may not appear at the best quality. Speaking of frequency, the response time is 80 Hz-20 kHz.

3. Connectivity

Everything looks good except for not having a USB cable support. But as a replacement, Logitech Z200 speakers offer 1 (3.5mm), 2, (3.5mm) input, and 6.6ft long wires.

In case you want better performance, add an AMP, and you will be surprised about the change in the sound quality. However, you don’t need to get one, the speakers will manage to receive you the pleasant sounds with pure bass.

4. Control Settings

The control settings in Logitech Z200 are super easy to use, believe me even if your parents won’t call and ask for help. On the front side, you will notice a circle where it allows you to adjust the volume, power, and bass control. Also, the headphone hack and auxiliary jack are located on the sides of this circle.

5. Compatibility

The compatibility is playing a significant role because who needs extra wires to make something work properly? Literally nobody. Keeping this reason in mind, Logitech Z200 speakers offer us a wide range of compatible technology accessories. Connect the speakers to your TV, computer, tablet, or smartphone. You can even connect to 2 devices at the same time with a 3.5mm audio input plus an auxiliary line.

If you are a hardcore gamer, and searching for compact-sized speakers, erase Logitech Z200 from your buying list because it doesn’t support Play Station and Xbox compatibility.

Downsides of Logitech Z200

Sure thing we don’t doubt Logitech for its quality. The given price and quality is matchless, but there is not such an ideal technology without downsides. Now, let’s see what Logitech Z200 lack.

High-Volume Issues

Logitech Z200 has no issue to fill the room with sounds, but when the high volume is in question, it starts creating distorting sounds. I think this is reasonable and forgivable due to the size and price. You cannot expect the tiny speaker to produce the DJ speaker volume.

Certainly Not Portable

Many people buy small speakers for portability. There is no point in getting small speakers when 6ft cables are tangled on the back.

You cannot take Z200 speakers in the garden, let alone take them anywhere. The size does say “I can fit the bag” though, but the wires say otherwise.

Insecure Drivers

I really hope you aren’t a clumsy person because you will have a lot of trouble. The drivers look premium, but the durability is very sensitive. You can tear them apart with a single drop, it’s crazy.

I would highly recommend you to place it somewhere away from the sharp objects. If you are more careful, it will be fine.

Final Thoughts

To sum up the Logitech Z200 review, I could say buy it if you intend to get a tabletop speaker that is compact and looks classy. Bass lovers will appreciate the bass effects, plus you can adjust to your desired level. The above all is the affordable price point which is a bonus point for that sound quality.

Don’t buy it if you have the intention to use it in gaming and you want to port the speakers somewhere. Well, it makes sense to ask for portability, but the wires denied the request. You have to be careful because the drivers are not so secure.

That was it, I hope the article was helpful to decide whether you want to purchase it or not.
